Delicious Fried Chicken Recipe
Try this Delicious Fried Chicken Recipe with a Twist
Unlike most fried chicken that uses eggs as a binder for the coating, this delicious chicken recipe uses cold water! Isn’t that very unique? It also makes sense because the low temperature of the water encourages popping on the coating. Meaning, the outside layer of your chicken will be extra crispy.
How to Make this Dish:
1st Step:
Place the chicken in a preheated pan and simmer for 7-8 minutes together with:
- half cup milk
- half cup water
- one bay leaf
- sliced ginger
- ground black pepper
2nd Step:
Mix together the following ingredients and lather on the chicken. Make sure all parts are covered.
- Red Chili 1 tsp
- Coriander Powder 1/2 tsp
- Black Pepper 1/4 tsp
- Onion Powder 1/2 tsp
- Garlic Powder 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Some water to make coating easier
3rd Step:
Mix 3/4 cup flour with some black pepper, garlic powder and a pinch of salt. Coat the chicken completely with the mixture. After this, dump the flour-coated chicken in a bowl of cold water and then coat with another layer of the flour mixture.
4th Step:
Fry the coated chicken on a preheated pan on medium flame. Turn to the side when you notice it to start browning. Once all the chicken are golden brown, dry with a kitchen towel. You can serve it hot on a plate or a bowl of rice.
Enjoy!
